Systematic Auscultation Sites
Systematic Approach
- Compare bilateral sides at each level
- Start from apices and work downward
- Listen to at least one full respiratory cycle at each site
- Ask patient to breathe deeply through mouth
- Note any asymmetry or adventitious sounds
